I was thinking the same thing. "Deactivated" is different from "deleted." I’m not a customer, but in today’s world, I would actually prefer that when the service shuts down, all accounts and published data are destroyed.

That probably means your iPad doesn’t support it. You need an iPad with an M series chip or the A17 Pro mini.

$1000/yr is steep for starting a project from scratch with it. You need to really be sure about needing it and about it paying for itself. The Rails equivalent ( https://jumpstartrails.com/ ) is $249/year and the La

You, as a user, will still be able to see the app in your purchased list and download the latest version, according to the FAQ. I think this is only removing them from the app store for new sales.

Have you looked in to Padrino? http://padrinorb.com You can cherry pick parts of it out in to a Sinatra app, or you can swap out `Sinatra::Application` for `Padrino::Application`.

At work I replaced a [Tesseract]( https://github.com/tesseract-ocr ) pipeline with some scripts around the Cloud Vision API. I've been pleased with the speed and accuracy so far considering the low cost and light setup.
