This comment is so true it hurts to read. Same can almost be said for other languages I actually _do_ like (perl, clojure.. sure there's _some_ jobs but the market just isn't the same as many others) Source: left php about a deca

This article doesn't seem to go into much detail. Does anyone know if this applies to all colleges or just Harvard? I'm digging around online now but my search skills are failing me

Random question but is this Tel from the east coast? (wont name the city to respect anonymity). Think we worked together before :) Depends how new you are to it all, but assuming you just know basic trading stuff (what a bid/offer is

Been trading for roughly 3 years now. And yup, I'm exactly in the same boat, just recently dove back into filling all the holes i have in my knowledge (portions of math/stats)

Adding my 2 cents on this since I've recently migrated from my old macbook 2015 to a System76 Gazelle (linux/Pop_OS). My comments are coming from the perspective of a web developer / trader (i make websites and trade futures

Honestly I've found alot of help on specific questions on quant.stackexchange.com , also as another person commented - /r/algotrading will very rarely occasionally have good nuggets of info. If you ask a 'good' que

Well.. I'm trying :) Still backtesting, building my system, etc.. But I have high hopes. Like others have mentioned, it's probably not worth pursuing HFT, but it's still alot of work just dealing with micro second data (co

Built in npm support is huge for me. I use Scalajs full time and one of my biggest issues is having to use SBT and webjars. I also end up using some mashup of npm modules as well later on in the build which complicates it even more. Plus
