Why would you have a trial if you already knew the truth? Edit: I appear to have been overly vague. My point is that you can't reward a prosecutor for producing a "truthful" outcome unless you know the truth to compare with.

That is the case. But I think the word "surge" is confusing people. If it said "up 52%" I'd assume year on year. But somehow "surge" implies a change in continuous state.

The CDC requires drinking water to have less than 4mg/liter fluoride. There is a guideline of less than 2mg/liter. Fluoridation for dental health is done at 0.7mg/liter. The only health effects observed at 4mg/liter are

Seems to check out with the numbers. 6200 HIV adults and a stable population says something like 3100 are female and with 30 child bearing years and two children over that period about 200 of them should give birth each year. A 1% probabili

Curious: How would you observe a difference in two months? (HN being what it is, I'm half expecting you to tell me you were assaying your mouth bacteria with an electron microscope you made and some OpenCV hacked together on…)

Hmm, this comment needed more text, but I was about to step on stage using my phone, sorry… In the creation of Apple Music, Apple didn't not require any musician to create more music. Apple did have to develop their delivery system. Ap

This whole "pay nothing" idea is strange to see on HN. Apple developed the software, is footing the server, power, bandwidth, and ops bills for three months all for free. The labels are chipping in their content for three months
