Traveled down a rabbit hole of their videos -- all of them are great! And the music as well. Makes me want to plan a roadtrip. Purchased their CDs to listen to in the evenings until then.

Hey that's neat! Super annoying having to dig through the dynamically-generated DOM.

Do you have any user scripts you find handy or use often?

Thank you - getting this solved would be a massive help as juggling 3-4 physical sims has been quite annoying. Being able to flip them on/off in the phone as described possible would make things so much easier.

I was attempting to get Airalo/Ubigi working and have seen many many people talk about how easy it was to get working on their iPhones.

by jwong_ 3y ago
Do you have details on what kind of complaint you filed? I have an iPhone with a similar problem -- physical SIMs work with any carrier. However, T-mobile ESIM is the only one I've been able to get work. T-mobile insists the phone has

Seems like the strobing is intended to defeat the autoexposure compensation. Otherwise the camera might see the brightlight and reduce exposure to compensate. Concentrating the lighting on the face only and staying far away from cameras mig

Thanks for the confirmation. I will give it another shot then. Another reminder for me to start an S-corp, it's been something I've been putting off for the paperwork.

What is the magic word to look for an accountant for optimising taxes? A couple of years ago I set out to do this, mostly by calling accountants and asking if they offered tax optimisation services. Most weren’t accepting new clients. The f

Does turning off wifi using Aeroplane mode not work via the Control Center? I do know that Wifi-off button only disconnects from the current network, but that's all I really want most of the time anyway.

That was such an enjoyable read. I’ve always wanted to make a camera, and liked how they went into cost specifics for a lot of the processes. I’m surprised they were able to take it to the F1 races or into airplanes.

I’m quite interested too — my email is my username , with the domain in my profile’s “about”

AS3 is where I first dove into another’s codebase - modding games was wild back then!

by jwong_ 4y ago
That makes total sense now. It's wild how different the user experience is when the industry is more amenable to open samples.

by jwong_ 4y ago
Makes sense, congrats on shipping!

so you’re storing the checksums locally for each script then? is that much different than just storing the verified copies of the scripts?

Is there a license these are generally released under that lets them be posted like this? Or is it just a quirk of the general workflow for these? I remember stumbling onto a production music site a while ago and it seemed to have full clip

I was thinking of using it as a way to force focus, and not care if anything happens to it. Lugging around a mbp 16-inch is a bit heavy sometimes.

What model was easiest for you? It would be nice to have a cheap Linux laptop to play around in a Linux desktop environment.

Oh man ! I have an old android device hanging around. I will give this a try. Will be a great experience to experiment with building simple circuit again.

What does the addition of a capacitor do here? Does it just give some buffer for the PSU in those high load situations?

Did they ship them from NC to a different place? Or is the vendor local to you? I remember seeing a few of these during the pandemic and the idea of a private separate office is appealing.

What Walkman and iPod do you use? I’ve started using my old iPod video again, and enjoying it for music, but curious on your use case for it as deviated audiobooks. How did you rebuild it specifically for audiobooks? Just toss RockBox on it

What about AI-generated UI connected to AB testing based on constraints like time-to-complete actions, user page churn, or accessibility scoring? That would kinda be neat but also a little dystopian. I already hate being subject to A-B test

Really neat! Gives me an idea on using something like this to generate e.g., CURL commands to mimic SSO flows. Even just documenting an SSO flow as a diagram would be quite neat.

Neat idea. Does Telegram do any sort of throttling?

I would love for this to happen on my street in Florida... I think it's way too rural at this point however, given that I am technically in unincorporated area.

The thread looks to mention best "value", and not just lowest TCO. If he wants lowest TCO then Android for sure will win since it occupies the lowest price brackets that Apple doesn't even try to compete in.

Ahh, I actually didnt know about that 'describe' command. That helps a lot to get some search terms. Thanks!
