WeChat was built in 2-3 months, approved by an email that just read it: “Do it now.” cc: Patrick C. to add it to that fast project list

If I’m not phishing or tracking anyone as the sender, those points aren’t applicable. If I am, I’m going to use HTML anyway. if you are using an email client that only supports plain-text, we’re probably already in some Matrix.org chatroom

Some sort of Monte Carlo-like simulations for things like project timelines or even feature adoption.

http://sendy.co Yours is the exact use case that it covers super well. Pay a one-time ~$60 fee and runs on top of SES.

Yes. The primary mission of “fast-attack” submarines are to shoot torpedoes and destroy ships and other submarines. It takes only one torpedo to disable most surface ships. An American Seawolf class submarine can carry ~50 torpedoes.

I think we could but why build a whole base complete with nuclear weapons handling and reactor maintenance facilities on the Great Lakes? Just use the ones in Georgia/Washington. It’s a fun thought exercise though!

Hmm…maybe I don’t quite understand what you’re saying. But I think you’re implying is that subs drive pretty far away with their nuclear missiles and shoot closer to the target?

Disagree with the bit about one at a time. You’re laying off 50% of the company, and I can’t think of anything more nerve-wracking wondering if I’d be the next person tapped watching people go in-and-out of a conference room.

I've certainly had your skepticism and these same challenges. Nonetheless, one study of Shopify storeowners who adopted dashboards saw a 4-10% increase in weekly revenue post adoption: https://pubsonline.informs.org/doi

That's what I'm saying haha. I'm not looking to "prep" and the prepper manuals go overboard for what >99% of people are looking for. I'm looking for the practical things. An emergency action guide of some so

I do support a number of creators on Patreon and I myself make a tinyyyyy bit of money from Patreon. Your question is better asked to the creators in question I think. They prefer to provide you content through an ad-supported model.

Maybe it’s ultimately a subjective thing. If one feels underpaid, they are underpaid. Then it’s a matter if there’s an employer that agrees, and it just takes one. I’d just note that the service academies crowd the rankings for highest paid

Because I’m replying to someone who would know what those acronyms are. The ELI5 is that the Navy pays officers who do the core ship/flying activities quite well. Compared to their civilian peers, Navy lawyers, doctors, and cyber peopl

Good point RE: sailors in barracks, who don’t receive BAH. I was a submariner, so I’m not certain who ends up chipping paint on surface ships. Submarines don’t get the people who washed out of schools.

The Navy pays officers very generously across all fields, EXCEPT medicine and JAG. URL JOs will take a pay cut for the first several years (at least) after leaving for the civilian sector. I never, ever heard a URL peer get out because of f
