Really like the inclusion of the diff + undo here. It feels like a nice sweet spot between the two dominate workflows: ai-integrated IDEs and copy & pasting from Claude/ChatGPT.

Just my personal opinion: I love svelte for small projects but the whole runes rewrite just feels so much less ergonomic. A step in the direction away from the simplicity that drew me to svelte in the first place. That said, there is backwa

This is almost exactly how R’s dplyr library works, and it’s honestly a pretty ergonomic, intuitive way to write queries.

I think this really nails a missing sweet spot for frontend/node projects. Observable is a great notebook env for dataviz, but the bespoke js + observability patterns can feel obtuse for non-dataviz stuff. Likewise, the Jupyter js kern

On mobile the book titles take up ~15% of the available screen width, requiring much more scrolling than necessary and makes for a bit of a jarring experience reading the titles.

If I had a dollar for every top-candidate-on-paper who missed basic questions related to interpreting regression model coefficients correctly, I’d have a lot of extra dollars!

“The data says otherwise” in aggregate, up to the year 2022. Posting aggregate stats just comes off iso a “gotcha” instead of a real discussion involving thought or context, both of which are needed in any discussion including data. There’s

Enjoyed the article, I think it mentions some good practices, although it’s missing some topics that may or may not be worth including, depending on your view of what constitutes ‘packaging’ in python. This bit towards the end certainly ca

This reads like some Patrick Bateman self-styled narrative. I suspect in reality this behavior is extremely obvious and off-putting. About as effective a psychological trick as the kid who just finished reading "How to Win Friends &

My point is that you claimed this is a rebuff against those claiming models don’t understand themselves. Your interpretation seems to assign intelligence to the algorithms. While this research allows us to interpret larger models in an ama

Love Anthropic research. Great visuals between Olah, Carter, and Pearce, as well. I don’t think this paper does much in the way of your final point, “it doesn’t understand what it’s saying”, though our understanding certainly has improved.

Observable is much more than its library, plot. You mean to compare plot to plotly. There are a number of reasons to choose Observable’s plot over plotly, but to address your point, there is no lock-in here with using plot for the view - yo

No - temperature is a sampling measurement from a distribution. If you adjust temperature, you still ultimately pull from the same distribution. Parent is saying the advantage is in pulling ideas from outside that encoded distribution.
