Did Marx explicitly state working class as factory workers? Farmers who did not own their land would fall under the same category, surely? From what I've read about Marx's theories and the Soviet Union, they are two separate thing

Where the entire working class controls the state and sets policy, which the Soviet Union clearly did not have. I never said it was a good thing, my second paragraph highlights the flaws I see in it. That is what Marx coined it as. Perhaps

Please don't confuse Marx's theories with Marxism-Leninism. The latter is more like state capitalism, i.e like most 'communist' countries we have seen. If you actually read what communism, socialism and marxism are about

Reminds me of my first experience. The trip involved getting something huge, like a big sense of "oh, I finally get it" but now, 3 years later, I'm still trying to figure out what I actually got.

Actually, the use for that doesn't seem restricted to software in general. It seems like you could apply that to any team and get better results - for example, if a big sales deal falls through, don't punish the sales person, use

It's crazy. I saw a house going for 8.5 million quid. Up here in the north, a similar terraced house would be a fraction of that. Even larger, detached houses are still a fraction.

Also, to add, modafinil gives me bruxism and tension in the jaw. If you have any issues with your TMJ, this will definitely not help.

The point about caffeine is important. For me, mixing caffeine and modafinil is not a pleasant experience, both with tea or coffee. The experience is counter-productive as I often feel too jittery to do anything and my mood crashes. As a no

It seems like the takeaway is that you should use a well-designed syntax highlighting scheme. You cannot expect everybody reading your code to be using a good syntax highlighting scheme. Either way, I think code should be readable independe

Thanks :) I did find Kite for Chrome too, it's just finding out how to edit the DOM as text and that'd give me everything I need. Will check this out too, thank you!

It's brilliant. By gradually building up to it, I started to really understand recursion, the power of lambdas and closures, etc. I also started to get Lisp and Scheme in the process. It's a great book, well worth it and if you&#x
