When you clip the board, the conductive layers are also being smooshed together and touch despite the non-conductive layers, which seems to persist during the enlargement of the cut. I imagine the goal of the flat filing is to remove more m

Food waste in landfills is actually a huge issue because it doesn’t decompose normally. It typically gets buried and undergoes anaerobic decomposition, producing methane, which is much worse in the short term as a greenhouse gas than CO2.

Recycleability isn’t really an issue because there isnt really a consumer pipeline for recycling metals of nonstandard shapes like cans. You certainly can’t just throw it in the recycling bin, and anything else is more friction.

This falls in line with a plug in hybrid being an excellent alternative to evs for most people. 30-50 miles of driving around town for work an errands, with an ICE for the occasional longer trip. Almost all driving will be electric without

No way there should be incentives for living outside dense areas. Utility, road, and service maintenance costs increase per capita as density goes down, and currently that cost is not borne by people in those areas.

It’s cheaper because not enough city housing is built and there are other costs associated with suburban living. IMO, property taxes should increase as density decreases because those less dense areas will cost a lot more to maintain roads,

I didn’t find that in the article, but that’s besides the point: wages across eu are lower for tech work and I don’t think it’s access to capital. It’s not like startups are the only high payers.

Wake up from what? I couldn’t find the thesis in the first few paragraphs… I keep seeing more and more from business types in the EU salivating over US business conditions: weaker labor laws, weaker regulations, record profits, etc. From th

The current style on https://www.openstreetmap.org/ basically looks the same as I remember it in ~2010, and is quite ugly compared to Apple Maps and even new google maps.

Hand-dug berms are certainly technology, but perhaps not “high technology”. And desertification is a natural process, see the Middle East or the Sahara itself, but perhaps accelerated by human impact.

I think for the general public this is a reasonable comparison, since the performance is good enough for most things on a 2 year old eng pc for less than half the msrp. I would expect most corporate refurbs on eBay to be moderately reputabl

It’s not about whether or not you can accomplish the same tasks, but how much time and pain you can save. Can I do the many of the same things in freecad or inkscape as solidworks or illustrator? Yea, but it is quite unpleasant.

I think the concern/problem is you might want a pwa to have access to contacts, but you don’t want to provide contact access to the entire browser in this scenario since you may not trust the browser/other websites.
