ISPs that allow hosting web services are fairly common, but you're right, if all your local providers forbid it, you're probably out of luck. For your second point, Dynamic DNS is super useful. I've had a good experience with

Since the main topic of this article is sync, does any browser or extension out there support syncing active tabs withing the browsing window, rather than putting them in a separate "recent tabs" menu? In other words, mirroring

Vivaldi is great, but its sync is basically the same as Chrome's. I often see a sync delay of several minutes when switching devices. Do you know if there's a setting for sync frequency? Aside: my favorite parts of Vivaldi are its

I'd be interested to hear what you did and didn't like about each of those tools. It might make a good topic for a blog post.

For me the main reason to switch to AdGuard was that it can easily run on OpenWRT (and PiHole can't). It's really convenient to run DNS adblock on the same device as your router.

ESPHome looks really cool! I've been looking for a more convenient way to configure some ESP32-based input devices (similar to macropads). I was interested in QMK, but it doens't support ESP32. So far I've been using MicroPyt

It works with all docutils and Sphinx roles, and almost all directives, including extensions. A notable exception is autodoc (automodule, autoclass, etc.), and any other directives that generate more rST. The current workaround is to use ev

I think this is also one of my least favorite syntax choices in rST. I second the suggestions to use Sphinx with Markdown via MyST.

I can't recommend this enough! It's such a quality of life improvement to get the powerful dynamic documentation features of rST and Sphinx (and its many extensions), but in the more pleasant and familiar syntax of Markdown. I use

For anyone curious about the game itself, I'd highly recommend it if you're into space sims. It's not exactly difficult, but it does get somewhat technical and gives you minimal handholding. It's fun and satisfying to fi

Interesting, that's not what I expected. So it seems like it's an opinionated integration between an editor and a Markdown-based static site generator with its own set of XML-based markup features. Sounds like that has potential.

GPLv3 is a "strong copyleft" license. It comes with some significant pros and cons compared to more permissive licenses like MIT and BSD. You can find more about the philosophy behind it here: https://www.gnu.org/p
