Split panes are cool, but the killer feature that I would jump ship for is full screen mode for dual monitors on Lion.

It's great if you want the opposite of hand-holdy. The Arch docs boldly ask you to solve your own problems before asking for help. That said, I loved Slackware and FreeBSD when I ran them. Arch has more in common with those OSes than the De

And here's a plug for ruby-llvm! https://github.com/jvoorhis/ruby-llvm Since the LLVM type system was rewritten, I have a lot of work to do to target 3.0.

Or more directly, there is a high impedance mismatch between PaaS and existing SSH server solutions, for my reasons above. I'm not giving up on SSH for CloudFoundry altogether, but Caldecott is an elegant solution that fits our constraints

Caldecott leverages CloudFoundry's existing interfaces (e.g. router, service bindings, authentication). As a platform as a service provider, we've faced many challenges while operating OpenSSH for our customers, ranging from managing authen

CloudFoundry manages the application lifecycle of AppFog apps (deployment, binding to services, etc.) What you see in the open source CloudFoundry project is what we run on our servers, with minor changes in our private repo that are specif

We're dogfooding at AppFog. We self-host our web management console (see http://blog.appfog.com/creating-your-first-app-in-appfog-in-... ). When we needed a staging environment, it was just an `af push` away.

This can be worked around by adding a gateway. Micro instances are also unsupported within a VPC, which is also a showstopper for some.
