Huntington's is horrible. You die like ALS when your lungs stop working. Before that, starting in your 40's to 60's you start getting symptoms of schizophrenia and Parkinson's, so loss of motor control and delusional tho

The money is in growing saplings of white-pine, the ones commercial re-planters will buy - because they grow fast and can be turned into toilet paper in 25(?) years. Growing saplings of local 'slow' growing, non-harvestable specie

The Curiosity Daily podcast had a related topic this past week. There are plans to plant 1 billion (or 1 Trillion) trees at various levels of government (WEF is the 1Trillion number). So researchers went out to try to find saplings from loc

"Dagobah" was how I heard the search area described. Or parts of it at least. "The weather was horrible" when the pilot ejected, so if it was pouring rain and slipped nicely into a swamp somewhere - and then the rain dou

The water in your body is just visiting. It was a thunderstorm a week ago. It will be the ocean soon enough. Most of your cells come and go like morning dew. We are more weather pattern than stone monument. Sunlight on mist. Summer lightnin

The seasons are already 5-25% messed up. The winter weather season is a week(?) shorter on either end in the last 50 years, so in living memory winter has shrunk by quite a bit. Current kids think today's messed up weather patterns an

It sounds like you can just spray seawater into the air. The salts will seed/form clouds and then just fall back into the ocean. Not sure if making enough salt spray boats is easier or harder than just reintroducing sulpher fuels.

The glass broke like picture frame glass, all sharp-edged and spiky. Safety glass was invented as it breaks into tiny shards that are unlikely to cause major damage.

I've sat backwards in the trunk of a Ford Taurus station wagon. A few years later there was one at a demolition derby - after the first hit there wasn't much car left behind the rear wheels... Eep!

Voyager 2 is already recovered, they waited until it was at the best possible (but still wrong orientation) and just yelled at it so that it heard, even with it being misaligned.
