There’s a story (Prometheus myth) that Steve Jobs and the Mac team copied the human graphical interface idea from Xerox. A fascinating read about it here: https://web.stanford.edu/dept/SUL/sites/mac/parc.

Does anyone have any anecdotes about companies enforcing this rule and coming after a founder that started a side project while working for the company?

Yeah. And how much code has to load? Given that I can get 100k image in a few seconds!!! Ie Why would it ever need more than 100k JS after compression and thus < 1s to load? Even if it is a big size why not cache and be instant on load?

I love the Indie Hackers community and mission of the site, but I can't understand why on earth the site is so JavaScript heavy. Almost everything on that site could be server side and there is no need for a loading screen that takes 2

Not mentioned in the article. I can imagine using my self driving car as a new mobile work office with a great view for calls and coding. That’s something I love about trains too, just coding away as awesome scenery moves along outside the

IMHO There is a big mismatch between the importance of the service and the brand as shown here. I can imagine there are real customers who would pay for a service like this who are in their 40s 50s 60s and who would want something to look p

This is quite a nuanced subject. It's something I've had a chance to think long and hard about and discuss with many founders. I wrote a lesson about it in the Nugget Startup Academy but it's behind a paywall. Here's a s

Well it's A LOT of them. Because we spoke about the Uber stuff as Jason lived it in real time ;) A fun one was when Jason turned down the CTO position and of course we had no idea at the time what that really meant. I guess in the late
