Does anyone have any anecdotes about companies enforcing this rule and coming after a founder that started a side project while working for the company?

- bullgod66 7y agoYes, I remember a huge case on the news where a company named Hooli went after the founder of a company named Pied Piper - it turned out that the founder of Pied Piper, Richard Hendricks, had to take his laptop in for repair one day and used a Hooli computer to do some testing of his program. Because of this, Pied Piper's IP almost went into the hands of Hooli and the CEO, Gavin Belson, was quite pleased. Fortunately, there was a problem with the employment contract, and the contract was actually voided by the judge, so the IP stayed with Pied Piper. I wouldn't count on that always happening though.
