A Planet Money episode about AirBnB in New Orleans. TL;DR - good in the beginning when it was residents renting out rooms. Eventually developers and companies bought up vast amounts of housing in iconic neighborhoods, priced out residents,

I'm on the Option B track right now :) And there are a lot of unknowns. But I would say that I'm "learning" more at B then I would at A. I can't speak for Facebook, Google, but I did work at Amazon for about 5 years

Betterment. I don't do individual stocks anymore. I still have some because they pay out nice dividends or it's just not worth selling them. But I've been very happy with Betterment. It's definitely fire and forget.

For me, probably not. My parents live a few hours from me. When I drive, I have to stop and get gas. Nine times out of ten, I go in and get a soda and something to snack on for the remainder of the trip. Also - there are times that I'm

I wonder if people are having the same experience I had when I first encountered Scala. I was the newest dev on a team that had an existing code base that was built around Spray, Akka, and Slick. And they wrapped an Actor around Slick so it

Don't get me wrong. My managers were (are) extremely smart. They did know how to "code" for the most likely definition of the word code. But that doesn't mean I would trust them to write a feature or to review what I wro
