A Planet Money episode about AirBnB in New Orleans.
TL;DR - good in the beginning when it was residents renting out rooms. Eventually developers and companies bought up vast amounts of housing in iconic neighborhoods, priced out residents, and "destroyed the soul of the neighborhood". New Orleans now doesn't allow AirBnB unless you are physically in the house with the renter.
