You should have filed a complaint either way. Filing a legitimate complaint with the FCC will get their attention ASAP. I've done it before with my ISP (RCN) and all of a sudden I was getting executive support and a much better deal. I

NPR (and their member stations) do not have advertising per se. Rather, they call it underwriting and there are very specific rules about what format the underwriting can take. Here are the guidelines: http://www.npr.org/sec

This is interesting and it should be paired with a dramatic re-thinking of the way our democracy functions. Namely, we should abolish the Senate's overrepresentation of small, rural states. It made sense that all states got two senator

The lack of tail tracks at 8th avenue and the current electrical system are the current limitations. They could do more, but they can't turn the trains around fast enough or give enough power to more densely pack trains.

If you had a publicly visible site that you wanted to be crawled, then having a real url would be pretty important. But for something like Highrise, where it's dark to google and crawlers, your solution makes sense.

Radiators do not work for cooling. Cooling creates condensation, which will drip on and rot the floor unless you move it out of the building somehow. Cool air also needs to be forced to circulate, whereas hot air will do that on its own.

It's about damn time. This makes S3 actually useful when paired with cloudfront. Before, it was a sad joke of steps and workarounds you had to go through if you wanted to to host static assets from S3 and have them be compressed.

As someone who's going through a not very fun period of C. Diff, this is pretty relevant. There is still so much we don't know about what makes a healthy and un-healthy biome, it's maddening.

Seat belt and safety system defects usually have a very low threshold for necessitating a recall or raising the ire of the NHTSA. Some manufacturers, notably Honda, have a lifetime unconditional warranty on seat belts.
