I did clarify at the end of the post. The analogy with Google and Google+ is spot on, and it’s clear that this is just another app tied to your Ig account just as messenger is an app tied to your Facebook account.

Apart from it being a separate app it is the same. There’s a one to one mapping of instagram account to thread account, so closely intertwined that deleting your threads account deletes the IG one. When you download facebook messenger as a

I think this is true. I'm sure there are practical reasons for a slow rollout, but this kind of exclusive rollout to flagship US stores will lead to a lot of coverage of people lining up get the device. It will generate worldwide deman

For a moment was intrigued what contact would do on a buffer but I think you meant concat.

Very timely. I've been using some inherited Typescript on a project for a while and was looking for exactly this kind of concise laying out of the language that you can read in an hour or two.

This would be about the tenth death of Twitter proclaimed loudly and confidently on this very site. Meanwhile Twitter’s popularity continues to grow. Good luck with this one.

Why do people oppose Twitter? It's a social network, you can choose not to use it.

What would rising levels of being lifted out of poverty suggest? The equality gap doesn’t count for much if you starve or freeze to death, and poverty is declining world wide.

I would say that making money from sites content by putting it somewhere else with your own ads is simply not allowed. What I would allow is you to charge a subscription to use the api which goes to Reddit and you get some cut like 30%.

Forgive me if I'm making a simplistic reading of this, but it seems the CEO has said that whilst apps and bots are making some good money, Reddit is losing money. Assuming Reddit has already taken cost saving measures (with 2000 staff

Yes, to be clear I am talking about general purpose gc out of control of the developer. Certainly not arguing for the most low level memory management imaginable. All the techniques you mentioned are valuable.

GC is a no no for game development when the game is trying to extract every last cpu cycle and byte of ram, which is most leading edge games. If you’re not in that category GC is fine, but if you are it’s a massive tax.

If Twitter has issues it’s because Musk is a foolish billionaire who fired too many people. If it doesn’t have issues then it’s just a testament to the brilliant engineers before his tenure. In other words he can’t win. I expect Twitter wil
