I think the interesting thing is that within 25 years or so of the invention of the "bicycle proper" the bike engineers (the Wright brothers) had already invented the airplane.

I find most of the time it would be fine on its own, but every now and again you avoid a really bad degradation through guidance. Some kinds of big change definitely problematic.

That is the threat model, that is supposed to be safe isolated access in a vpc that isolated applications can access but it has external access.

re "An LLM also pointed that out, so I guess it must have been a different one which implemented it?" - no, there is no correlation between whether the same LLM is used and whether it can find errors.

The output of Anthropic's models is not Anthropic's IP, as that would destroy their market, if Anthropic owned all the software it generated, and all the content. So distillation, which is just using those outputs is always going

The codebase is large because its a complex problem and its around 75% tests. Have used various tools to find duplicates and they arent there to any significant extent.

No its fine. The problem is trying to read all the code. Reading some is fine. I tend to focus on public APIs, and key areas. But not the thousands of lines which arre tests or will be refactored.

At 600k lines of Rust, not finding those issues yet. You can search for different versions of same concepts, I mean you need to refactor a lot anyway.

Micron have sold RAM for the next 4 years at current prices, so there are buyers expecting this to stay the same.

The machine only has pcie4x4 so 50Gb bandwidth, pcie3 would halve that to 25Gb Thats the problem with these AMD laptop class cores, they have very little IO. They have been saying they will release in a desktop form factor, but then it prob

It is 2x200Gb/s physically but the PCIe bandwidth is basically only 200Gb/s so it may as well be one, and actually its a weird 2xPCIe4 not 1xPCIe8 so it appears in software as dual 100Gb/s. Its a bit odd.

Graviton 5 is 9% more expensive than previous generation https://www.theregister.com/paas-and-iaas/2026/06/11/gravito... which isnt strictly an increase but shows direction.

They run a hypervisor under the OS, and dont support actually running directly on the hardware, its very odd.
