I've found the screen cover to be almost essential. I had 2 MacBooks where the screen was ruined by somehow making contact with whatever on the keys. Not sure how it's possible but the first thing I do now after buying a MacBook

You are running a high fever or have a massive headache, so know you are going to max out at 4g/day. At that point, it's kind of hard to keep track of the clock. "My head is pounding. Shit...did I take this at 3PM or 5PM? I

I lived with an ICU nurse for years and one of the things he emphasized was the risk of acetaminophen overdose. He's more than once treated the liver failure (and death) from it and by his words, it's one of the worse ways to go.

Stolen laptops would be my one idea here to always encrypt, even if MS / Apple has your key and can easily give it to the government? This way you have to know a user's password / login info to steal their information if you

I've had quite good luck asking Gemini and ChatGPT to include links to research papers for every claim they make. Not only can I review at least the abstracts but I find when I do this, they'll retract some of the hallucinations

I think the thing to remember with this, as with any kind of medical procedure, is the benefits versus the risks. In many cases, if you're getting this kind of MRI contrast, there's probably a good reason for it. So even if there&

I've been suffering from migraines for the last month, so have channeled my (non-migraine) time into a migraine tracker to try and find the root causes. All the tracking apps I tried all have nice complex forms, which is all well and

I lived in Breckenridge (9,600ft) for a few winters post college. Before college, when I had last been to CO, I didn't get any altitude sickness. Post college, I discovered (by blacking out on the slopes at Vail) that I now got bad alt

This might be a silly question: I understand the mitochondria from the mother's egg is unusable due to disease. Why do they need a 3rd person to provide one? Is there a reason they could take one from a father's cell?
