You're right, totally missed that! Let me double check at work in a few minutes but I'll probably add an MIT license with a disclaimer to please don't be a jerk and offer a paid hosted version yourself

Not sure about .net since I don't use it but for ruby there are a lot of monitoring services that do this (skylight.io, newrelic etc).

This is simply not true, lots of tools are able to tell you exactly which line of code is responsible for which query.

I find obj-c super readable, other people don't? I mean, take two hours to get used to the bracket syntax for message sending and it's super readable although a bit verbose?

Apple has reached out to plug-in developers and implemented a compatibility UUID system for plugins. What exactly are you worried might happen?

There are a lot of really great plugins for Xcode, you should browse the package repository to get an idea of what's out there :)

This is not a replacement for Cocoapods, it manages plugins for Xcode itself, color themes, project templates. That kind of stuff :)

There's much less of a culture of posting other peoples work on soundcloud, it's much more focused on letting artists share their own work.

I've interviewed with them for an internship about a year ago and although I didn't end up getting the job, it was a very pleasant experience and I actually learned quite a bit in the process.

timegm actually already makes a huge difference, thanks! Might be useful to make a small fast date parsing library based on the sqlite source code.

Yeah that would probably be the way to go ultimately if you're doing a lot of date parsing, I agree!

I was wondering the same thing since that's also what apple recommends in situations like these. This is what I got on the same hardware: strptime_l took 58.803 seconds NSDateFormatter took 107.570 seconds sqlite3 took 7.022 seconds An

Meh, not really. In ruby `return x, y` is just syntactic sugar for `return [x, y]`, ie returning an array. It's also an indication that you probably need a class.
