That would never work. You'd find some garbage in the output, or even worse, get a core dump due to n being undefined. I think you mean 2x * 1000. .... or I've been refactoring my code for too long. But yes, this is generally the rule I use

I think it is one of those problems that most people don't run into until they do - for example, you're suddenly having to work from 2 locations on the same code base - then try to find some means of keeping both in sync... The first attemp

Well, with 859,000 sub-prime car loans already handed out, seems like they're well on the way already. Can anyone explain to me how handing out sub-prime loans to anyone is a "sign of health returning to the economy?"

While reading about Pyjamas I came across a sidebar note that mentioned part of the OLPC team, and wondered "What has happened to the OLPC" - and so had a look. It seems like they've passed the initial press honeymoon and are settling down

I read a book a few years ago called "Pure, white and deadly" by John Yudkin (first published in 1972) that still has an incredible amount of relevant information in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Yudkin The main issue tends to com

I wonder what the implications of this are with respect to maths / logic. IIRC the left hemisphere of the brain does more of the logical thinking, with the right being more creative - does this mean that people who read / write a lot of Ara

Wouldn't it be nice if we could actually keep track of the quality by some measure and thus validate your model? Things said in jest are often true, and I think you actually have a valid model. It would be interesting to have some live feed

I would go as far as to suggest that mentioning python in this manner (in this community) would in fact be geekier, thus merit a higher score. Not sure about ruby, but would venture that it wouldn't make much of a difference on the scoring.

I would imagine that the same principle may be used in slightly fickle winds, so that it could throttle back or even go back into propeller mode during fickle winds. But I do wonder what would happen if the tether did break. It says that th
