I hope they never drop paint and notepad. Since win 95+ i've found myself still using both enough that it would really freak me out if they suddenly got deleted in an update.

That's too bad. I had an old HP Ipaq running Win CE back years before Apple did their first iPhone. Microsoft was first, and it worked pretty well. Another case of MS getting into things too soon, and somehow missing the boat again as

I used to love speedtest.net, but since finding testmy.net which keeps a log of your previous tests, I haven't gone back. I typically receive the correct up/down ratio, though intermittent issues may lower it for a day or less. Th

Interesting. Microsoft is fairly good at bringing things into a consumer space. Might be nice to have a future version of Windows see me doing a repetitive task, and just say, "Hey, I can take over this for you if you'd like"

Really like the idea of basic income. However, after living in the real world as long as I have, I know all it would do is raise rent by exactly that amount, everywhere.

Interesting. Noticed youtube pushing Voynich in suggestions out of the blue last week, now there's an article posted up here days later.

I normally warm boot mine, saw the speed increase with nothing running before, so guess I was on the right track. I hope this is addressed by Sony in the future, or at least let us select if a download is a high priority or not.

Hopefully this isn't a sign that warmer ocean temperatures and higher levels of dissolved CO2 are making the oceans more hospitable for creatures like this.

That's seems like a very low valuation for a site that heavily trafficked. What is their average time-on-site statistic I wonder, i'd expect it to be much higher than most other websites.

I really don't like having to voice a query, I'd much rather type it out. If Elon Musk sold a neuralink brain wi-fi device I'd be first in line for it. These voice activated search devices though, pass.

I agree. I'm not cool with the idea of some hardware device being plugged into my own, with no idea what the device even does, or records.

I'll give them credit, Facebook figured out how to monetize themselves. Versus say, Twitter, which i don't use and still don't understand how it even exists.

Bounties for Edge? Isn't it less than 5% in browser market share? I like the fact they're offering a bounty program, I'm just surprised Edge was included I guess.

I've fallen for Newegg's slightly lower prices a few times, last two new items i ordered, both were opened up. 2nd one missing crucial parts that someone poked all of them out through the bag inside of the device's box. 2nd

Cool setup. I'd really wonder what Aphex Twin would do with an analog wall like that. Would be awesome if they ever worked together on something.

Mcdonalds could really benefit from having robot delivery drivers. If I could order a burger combo and have it dropped off at work or home, and be cheaper than an entire pizza plus tip, i'd order from it way more often than I should.

I hope they have a company store too, and you can get paid in credits for it! /s Personally, I don't like the idea of handing money right back to the company you work for, for property they own and you just rent.

Do these infrastructures really need the level of hardware they seem to use? Rather than use a unsecured raspberry pi3 with it's wifi left on, why not have a closed system specifically built instead. Something not casually running emb

It would be funny (not really) if the lotion that arrived was counterfeit. Due to Amazon's "just throw it all in the same pile!" method of combining their and re-sellers stock.

Wow, ARM has blown up due to cellphones. It's starting to compare to x86 in performance to a degree. Wonder how long people are going to keep buying thousand-dollar cellphones each year that's fueling this.

I should be able to charge people to leave a voice mail. Not much, say 25 cents or around there. If it's important that's a negligible cost.
