I thought you had gravely misunderstood the article because the author leads with discovering the lossless compression support of WebP and even compares it to advanced lossless compression tools like PNGOUT so I thought he wasn't compa

I agree with the maddening UI and library inconsistency on Windows. I disagree with the non-composable software comparison. Comparing Windows GUI composition with CLI composition is apples and oranges. Let's leave GUI tools out of this

I agree. It bears repeating: Where modern AI shines is where it does not matter to be precise, where programming absolutely _depends_ on being precise. So, today some good AI applications are face detection, fingerprint detection, or genera

I think Politico.eu is also pretty good for EU coverage. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium with additional offices in London, Berlin, Paris.

I'm no expert on this but I assume because it would be all keyframes? I.e. the format doesn't support encoding transitions from frame to frame. But I guess decent video support could be possible if you define video as pixel perfec

I've heard humans have larger penises in proportion to our size than usual with mammals. Not sure how unique it is but the human glans is speculated to be shaped like it is to scoop out sperm from competing males. Since human vaginas a

This is honestly a large part of why I enjoy keyboard shortcuts, like F2 to rename on Windows. But it’s of course also a low grade for their UI design because I like it for knowing how to reach it instantly. Unlike by using their user inter

They should take note of Windows 11 and the fallout from new menu item style due to the font no longer scaling properly at DPI “100%”. Many reported it as a bug! But it’s per design in the new Segoe Variable file where hunting breaks down a

I unfortunately expect, given tradition, that the next move for Apple will be to H.266 / VVC in hardware, not AV1. VVC was finalized in 2020 and there is some influence backing it already where although DVB will evaluate AV1, they&#x27
