Funny. I was just today thinking of this but on a Raspberry Pi with mic and speakers. Google Bard is surely coming to Google Home but it would be a fun project to get a head start of sorts!

I find this interesting not from the perspective of LLMs but it seems to imply that human language being a prerequisite for self-awareness. Is that really so?

I recommend https://write.as if you just want a clean, minimalist blog platform with photo hosting and minimal effort. Integrates with RSS, mail, even ActivityPub/Mastodon. Write in Markdown. No ads. Or self-host this softw

I like this take. It has many clear applications already and LLM's are still only in their infancy. I both criticize and use ChatGPT at work. It has flaws and it has advantages. That it's bullshit or "ELIZA" is a short-s

He's touching a current topic with the launch of Bing AI which many consider might be transformative. But yes, "we" should know better at Hacker News and separate the mud slinging from the news.

I just generated a C# code snippet with ChatGPT, converting an integer to a base32 string. On a glance, it looked correct. But it could impossibly have generated the given answer because it helpfully claimed how it used Crockford's Bas

Check out the Bing start page settings. You can disable the articles, and more. I basically have the text box and weather in the top left corner. I even disabled the daily wallpaper.

Sounds amazing indeed but so far I see no indication of it going to happen at Google. I think the Google ecosystem, at least as it appears to regular consumers, is in a poor and frozen state ever since Google+ failed. YouTube is YouTube as

This reminds me of some TV show games here in Sweden. :) Got a perfect 1000 points on a pretty gruesome WW2 photo with jews around a train. Sort of a pyrrhic victory there... :| ~2200 on my first try, a lot obviously thanks to That Photo.
