Tooling is a big boon with TypeScript: Go to Definition, Find All References, Refactor->Rename, debug your TypeScript in Visual Studio. You're right that if you don't use the tooling, TypeScript is of lesser value. Using things

While baking TypeScript into Visual Studio isn't a certainty of its future success (e.g. Silverlight), it is a good indicator of Microsoft's commitment to the language. As a former CoffeeScript user, I love TypeScript: it's a

This is a smart move. Crapware vendors have started installing Chrome extensions bundled with their crapware installers, hijacking browser home page and search page. The end result of this is that many of my non-technical family members end

Pardon my asking, but is this really a new language? The website looks like it was designed in 1998, complete with scrolling marquee, Flash banner, and visitor count ticker. If this is really new, may I suggest removing the Flash animation

Pollution levels are not at their highest [1]. And even if they were, it would not mean we should stop saving lives. Gates' post shows that saving lives actually helps overpopulation, historically. And through technological advances, w

Agreed. It's time to obstruct these money-making corporations. We can slap their hands with lawsuits brought against them for making money, or we can shut down their greedy, wealth-building schemes. These money-loving fat cats have it

Yeah, it is not possible to please every person. MP3 has native HTML5 audio support on web browsers (Chrome, FF, IE, Safari) for Windows XP and up, modern Macs, and any modern Droid, iOS, or Windows Phone sold in the last 5 years. It makes

As a side note to web developers dealing with audio: MP3 is really the "plays everywhere" audio format for HTML5 audio. Firefox was the last holdout, and they capitulated last year [1]; FF for XP and up and FF for Mac now support
