Logging is one tool of many, you need logs, metrics and distributed tracing at the very least for any significant piece of modern infra. If you really want to get serious, you also want some kind of continuous profiling (like pyroscope) or

The ō in Hepburn could correspond to おう or おお or オー. That's an ambiguity. What's the issue here? They all sound exactly the same, although おお seems unusual. The choice of kana kinda depends on the what you're writin

Using Macbooks spoils you. They're so well made that almost everything else feels shoddy. There's also the software/hardware integration side. Power management on Macbooks is unbeatable in my experience, both Windows and Linu

But how many miles driven? Severity? Is it worse or better than a human driver? With just a total number it's hard to reason about what it means.

Why not a store-and-forward architecture? You still need a protocol for point to point and maybe that's where QUIC plays a role, but wouldn't make more sense to use something like email? The distances and latencies are so large, t

Does anyone care about RCS? I mean, most of the world just uses WhatsApp (with the notable exception of the US which for some reason likes iMessage). RCS is as crappy as SMS or MMS because it give carriers a say in the matter. Interoperabil
