It's not crippling, it's annoying. I can code without an IDE just fine, I just don't want to. It's too slow and you end up doing a lot of very repetitive and boring tasks. Modern IDEs, much like type systems, help you av

They miss the main problem: tooling. DSLs are nice, but you need to integrate them into a development workflow which means strong IDE support and build systems. Auto complete, testing, backward compatibility, etc. If I normally have code in

Dude, hot water is a known carcinogenic. It is scaremongering unless backed by hard stats that point to the urgency. Cancer is the default disease, it amounts to a cell copying error, if something else doesn't kill you, you eventually

Animalese is a simple phonetic translation of the text. It’s super noticeable in Spanish which is fairly straightforward. In English it’s a simplistic translation to phonemes as far as I can tell.

Given the wording, I still don't see how this works. A more long term, indirect approach would probably work better. If Facebook had a continuous, long term, PR campaign, where they reasonably established themselves as helping small bu

The idea of doing a public campaign over this is so myopic that I cannot fathom the thinking about it. Who’s going to rally for Facebook? Did they really expected Apple to change this? The ad should scare investors much more than Apple’s mo

It may be unpopular, but strict lockdowns are untenable in the long term. Living locked down is no life at all, it's just survival. And I'd rather take my chances if the alternative is perpetual stay at home orders (I'm from

It feels like a commoditize the competition strategy. Essentially the single deployment structure makes your competitors impossible to differentiate other than on price, while still being the access point to the cloud.
