I'm staying with my 2015 15" MBP (i7-4870HQ, AMD R9 M370X GPU, 16GB RAM) Still running El Capitan. I hear they have M.2 to Apple SSD adapters now too. The High Sierra root bug was embarrassing, among other issues. But bugs happen.

Font rendering any better in 58? I was trying Firefox 57 after release on OS X 10.11.6 and it seems like it was giving me eye strain which I strongly presume is the fort rendering. Firefox 52 and Chrome 63 seem to be unaffected.

And GTX9xx/10xx GPU's, most AMD GPU's and Macbook Pro external display outputs use temporal dithering, regardless if the display is native 8-bit or not. I'm working on a .kext to fix the latter, but it's hard work a

This. I wish something was done about the regulations that are de-facto monopolizing franchise agreements and such at a city level for telecom services. Not much better in Canada either.

I find something is off with Firefox Quantum, possibly the font rendering and it hurts my eyes. Running Chrome 62 on OSX 10.11.6 and it is fine. I had similar problems with Chrome on Windows after they implemented DirectWrite with anti alia

I thought refresh rate doesn't matter so much with LCD displays when you're reading a mostly static image (A book as an example), but maybe PWM or dithering is a factor as well in terms of eyestrain where higher refresh rates can

Yup. I still have both motherboards, the "broken" RAM and the good RAM actually. I didn't believe it at first, but just being able to move the mouse around and play audio over USB and not having it lag was enough proof.

I have something interesting about USB input latency to share. In 2014 I built a new computer with a i5-4590 CPU, ASUS Z97-A motherboard and 8GB of Kingston DDR3-1866 memory. One thing I instantly noticed was that my mouse (Logitech G400) w

I hope the OLED display used in the iPhone X doesn't use PWM, unlike Samsung. LG OLED TV's seem nice as well, although I haven't looked at them for a long period of time.

Well the subject is currently 23, and for what it's worth the original USG indictment listed his full name, because the accused activity happened when the subject was older than 18.
