Will have to check this out :) But is GitHub big enough they can just ignore it and go "bah we're too big now to care about others"?

I'm aware, but I could just as easily see a lesser registrar getting confused by an abuse report and suspending github.com because it embeds content from githubusercontent.com.

Where do you draw the line? I mean github.com is the corporate email domain of the GitHub company, it also hosts repositories (user generated content)

What makes me uneasy about Cloudflare's registrar service is they force the use of Cloudflare's nameservers unless you have an "Enterprise" plan (paying a monthly fee for what amounts for some registry EPP calls?!) and g

They have their own accreditation for .COM/.NET/.ORG/.INFO/.CA (and maybe a few others) else they fallback to Tucows OpenSRS system, which is decent except in the case of needing advanced features like DNSSEC (for certai

Think you should investigate other options such as the known brand protection/domain asset management companies (MarkMonitor, CSC, easyDNS or their European equivalents) EDIT: I see you're moving to Cloudflare, but I wish you the

They don't block third party clients ala WhatsApp, but going on GitHub and arguing with people isn't a good thing either :/

How well does such a bridge work in practice? I realize this isn't the case for all bridges but the matrix.org->freenode bridge is rather infamous for failing in strange ways (asymmetric message forwarding, intermittent lag, etc.) A

Hopefully this we'll hear of the .ORG sale, and it can be filed under "risky investment averted" Wonder if there's an appeals process in place.

I was thinking the same thing, are we going to have a mess of contact tracing apps and services with the similar analogy of the incompatibility with differing messaging protocols? > Also, it's much easier to make it mandatory if it&

If you can get by with audio only I'd recommend Mumble with a strategically placed location of the server (to keep latency consistent between users assuming no routing shenanigans, need to test for this) and hope for the best.

I'd be interested in hearing about it. From the (limited) amount I do know, it seemed like BB was a mix of "security by obscurity" with some memory safety (Java) and so called "internal code audits" by RIM.

That was an issue with their hosting service, and didn't affect domains. As for myself personally I keep my own backups of my own externally hosted content but I don't disagree that this issue was a big doozy for Gandi.
