Of course large corporations want immigration reform! They don't want to pay for mediocre talent in the US when they can get someone just as good overseas. The reality is that technology is eating the world and there aren't enough good engi

It is always sad to lose someone in your community. The Oculus Rift seems like a pretty cool invention and hope things turn out well. What do you even say when stuff like this happens? He was a developer and in a way we never know when each

I like the idea of this. I know there was a post recently about a guy selling 24 hour chunks of data about himself. Is there an opportunity here to create a secure data store for your own structured data hosted securely somewhere else and t

This is just one of the reasons why I feel developing web apps has gotten harder. While there are a lot of javascript frameworks it is likely two projects pick different routes. It basically means if I need to maintain a project I will have

I'm confused. Isn't it perfectly legal for the institution to search your e-mail records? I know when you work at a company generally the company can monitor everything you do (including e-mail).

The thing a lot of people don't get about 3d printing right now is that it is still in its infancy. We are basically at the point where cell phones were the size of bricks. Give it a decade or two and we might look at 3d printers and their

Your comment is shortsighted. This is not at all egotistical. Rare diseases are generally not huge money makers for big pharma. That is why there isn't as much money being devoted to them to find a cure. The fact that Larry Page is donating
