From where React Native is headed it sounds like it is going to significantly devalue the experience of a lot of native iOS and Android developers.

I'm just learning pandas as well but I think it is the right tool for the job. I am using django-pandas so I can do easy ORM stuff. If I were to sketch out your use case: Create a object/class called AuctionResult - som

What I think we are starting to see is the beginning of widespread use of computer based discovery through essentially machine learning techniques. I think AI is pretty far off but utilizing all the computing power we have to discover new m

I've used both. I kinda like how tmux has a bottom bar by default. Both are super stable and I haven't had either crash on me ever. Configuring both are kinda of a pain. I can never seem to get scroll to work properly in mac os x.

Uber is providing infrastructure as a service and it is great. Maybe they can turn into a modern day real world AWS.

What exactly is a recapitalization? It says the round doesn't value them but doesn't the $5MM note have a cap of $80MM?

I don't understand why anyone would say to give up containers and just use Zones or VMs? Containers are solving a very real problem. The problem is that containers weren't as well marketed before Docker (or as user friendly).

It's sad how much flying has changed since 9/11. Younger individuals will never realize how much easier it was to get through security. I'm sad at how he was treated and it's something that needs to be changed. It's

A set of exploits like the 3 described could be worth quite a bit on the open market. I'm surprised how low the bounty was for a full vmware escape starting from a browser. Surely there are other exploits like this out in the wild unde

How would you actually bit shift 1 gigabyte worth of data? Would you start at the end and read in words? Possibly using some temp variable?

I don't think I will move any substantial business communication to Google Chat. I'm happy there is competition but Slack nailed it and now google is playing catchup.

How about a giant container ship full of hard drives sneakernet style? :) Largest container ship in the world: 19224 TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent containers). Volume is about 39 meters cubed for each one. Volume of a 10TB about 392 cubic cen

This is scary stuff. Any key/password that you used on a cloudflare site should be considered compromised. That's a crapton of keys.

I assume the reason why this can happen is because the default implementation of malloc/free doesn't check if the pointer has already been free'ed right? And the reason it doesn't check is because of performance reasons?

Really good to know. I wonder if there is a site that actually lets you post reviews of interviews from companies. Glassdoor I guess is one but I'd be curious about culture as well.

This is a huge move and in the end will benefit India in a big way. Basically by banning cash you are making transactions much easier to track. In turn this kills a lot of black market activity and stamps out corruption. By doing this India

This is pretty good news if only that we will get more research into this phenomenon. In 1933 von Neumann basically published a proof against the idea of any hidden-variable theory. It took 30 years but Bell then discredited it. My guess is
