I guess so. I guess that’s partly why force quit exists. The OS does provide a way to do what I expect the OS to handle for me.

If the law forbids something, that’s a very different situation than a TOS or EULA forbidding something.

Seems like an OS problem that they can manage to break the quit option in the app menu. Am I crazy?

No, you don’t have ownership of the license. You can’t sell it, so you don’t own it.

But… it doesn’t work on my phone. The author even warned me at the top of the page. I didn’t believe him. I tried it on my phone. It didn’t work.

It's 2023, what are my thoughts on Flash? It still doesn't work on mobile. That's my only thought. My phone is more powerful than my computer was when Flash died. Makes no sense.

When is the first time a judge made a ruling on whether this was defamatory?

I can’t find any indication this was deemed defamatory in a court of law until this ruling. Did I miss it? My whole point is that Google has to remove anything the moment somebody asks, because if it is later determined to be defamatory

You can’t ignore what forever? Your position simply requires Google to remove anything that anybody asks them to from their results, doesn’t it?

Whereas I hate GDPR, because all it has accomplished is making it harder to browse the web. Nothing else.

Reading this gives me an understanding for how some of my friends feel when I talk about technology. “Make sure to set the dip switches on your SCSI drive and confirm your cable is USB 4+ PD.” Lol

> and costs are kept low From the outside looking in, I have to admit that the article's reasoning makes a lot more sense than this claim. They can raise prices and there's nothing the client can do but pay higher premiums.

I guess I can kind of understand why you think demand "can't go down." But I have no idea why you ignore the possibility of supply increasing.

This confirms not the opposite, as the new study proposes, but rather that you cannot trust studies. Especially newsworthy ones. Meaning, if you see a study, don’t believe it. At least in any social science.

“New bulbs came out, everybody replace all your light fixtures.” No. I like the fixtures I have, and I have no desire to throw them in the landfill so that I can be “environmentally friendly.”

I’m sorry, but your solution to bad bulbs is to say “you’re holding/using it wrong.” It’s not my fixtures’ problem. It’s these crappy bulbs.

People in serious pain want relief. They ask for relief. If you were a doctor would your response to a patient in unbearable pain be, “Sorry, can’t help you”?

No, but it does happen that passwords get updated, and the beauty of 1P is that you just save it, and then whoever has it gets the updated one. I share passwords with as many as 4 people, so it’s practically impossible to keep everybody in

Are you referring to Airdrop password and passkey sharing?[1] That’s the only way I can find other than manual copy/paste. Also, I very much doubt if I later change the password I shared via Airdrop that it will update on the other per
