The reason for the Cell() is explained in a comment; I have to be able to pass around references to registers and memory locations distinct from their value. I'm open to alternatives but the above won't work as how do you pass in "register

I wouldn't be able to help with the more modern stuff but given DCPU-16 is designed to be an 80s-era CPU it suits my experience quite well :-)

I'm actually planning on writing some tutorials based around DCPU-16 as it's a nice small instruction set with very orthogonal addressing modes (but don't worry if you don't know what that means :-) Sort of a "Assembly Language for Python p

There's nothing wrong with reinventing the wheel if your goal is to teach yourself more about wheels. Understanding something by implementing it in a favourite programming language is at the heart of being a hacker.

That's the core of what Arnor will be.

Absolutely! Think of Arnor as a layer on top for people that want to use other people's code for their site. Arnor itself just deploys to Gondor and you'll always be able to deploy your own code to Gondor completely independently of Arnor.

Startup Row was an invaluable experience for Eldarion last year. I'd recommend it to any eligible startup.

Whereas Gondor is for hosting your own code; Arnor is for hosting instances of other people's code. So it's a marketplace for Django developers to sell (or offer for free) out-of-the-box Django projects that people can deploy with a single

You use the term "article" as if it was supposed to be a well-written piece intended for a particular audience. It wasn't. It's a personal blog post recording a light bulb going off for me on one particular aspect of chord naming.

Well, I'm assuming by convention that the 7th is flattened, as the notation "C7" does.

but the idea of my post is to point out why it isn't just the module 8 wrapped version. C13 means C + 6th + 7th not just C + 13th = C + 6th

yeah, as I said in the post, it's Jazz Theory 101. But anyone coming from a classical music theory background will hopefully find it a helpful insight.
