Just curious..what is it you find lacking about Alfred? I swapped a few years ago when QS was having some wobbles with releases keeping up with Mac OS releases. I forget what the exact issues were at the time. It took about 3 months to find

I would argue that the 250ms lag mentioned in the article was not the reason the ePCR system was perceived as being slow. Consider the new trend in login forms these days whereby you are forced to enter you username or email THEN press a

I was in those same trenches and I have the same scars. However... IIRC the difference between JS fatigue and magpie development with Gems (ooh! Shiny!) is that switching to the latest and greatest gems was usually painless. If you were wil

Every time I read that one of the “downsides” of RoR is that it “doesn’t sound cool” I know I’m in the right place! I’ll have mature teammates who understand the right tool for the right job. I won’t have to work with magpie developers with

Does browserlist not help with packages like this in any way? Ie if you aren’t supporting IE6 or whatever, doesn’t something throw up a warning like “you probably don’t need this package”.

The vitamin "misnomer" really confuses me. I don't think if it was called "hormone D" that people would be snaffling it up trying to self-medicate. Anyhow, I've googled and googled but still can't figure o

I'll add to that one very important component: meetings where everyone comes prepared. Even when people are essential and/or required, if they don't want to be there then it lowers the bar for the entire meeting. Inefficien

The Home key is fine if you're on a PC. On a Mac the only time you'll see one is on some extended external keyboards. It's rare, if nonexistent on Mac laptops. So you need to press Cmd+Up. Yes, it's two keys instead of
