"Normally when I'm hanging out with someone that looks like you, I'm playing Dungeons and Dragons." Is that purely self-deprecating (assuming playing Dungeons and Dragons is such..)?

There are so many BI tools around that it's hard to figure out which solution is going to be best for a particular use case. Creating further confusion, it seems like most "enterprise" BI products aren't explained proper

The major reason it isn't using bootstrap is because the vast majority of changes have only been css. That was to allow for backwards compatibility for users that change the admin styling and html.

I had a hard drive crash on me with all of my photos some years back and my "backup" strategy failed. Dumping a myspace backup got me some of my most precious photos back. Thanks MySpace!

Can you expand on this a little more or provide some links that explain? What happens to memory if you remove the memory manager?

That's not what he said though. He said that being hostile to users is the quickest way to kill a language. Now I don't know much about the Clojure language or community, but that post from Yegge was over 4 years old. You say that

I think that's the point the parent comment is making. That Yegge made two other predictions that were not even close to right.

I thought that github met his exact prediction. They took an open source product (git), hosted it as a webapp, and got people to pay for it (github enterprise).

How specific do you need to be? Do you need to provide implementation details? I give full marks for the XML Database prediction because he began with this statement: "Nobody likes to do O/R mapping; everyone just wants a solution

You can DOS a site that doesn't have password length enforcement. 20 characters really is too low though, because it rules out a lot of pass phrases. I believe Django allows up to 4mb for the password, which is more than enough for any

Do you not consider #1 to be at least close to accurate? Instead of XML we got JSON databases (NoSQL) which are very popular in some circles. They definitely do not surpass the number of relational database installations, but I wouldn'

In Australia that's flat out illegal. You must present a number, and that number has to be connected to your business so that the person receiving the call can call back.

Once it gets to a certain level of "no longer prototype", it can help if you then start VCS fresh by initing a new git repository. You lose the prototyping history, but you probably won't need it anyway.
