I don't think this is true. Timing attacks are only really useful if you can change a single piece of data and analyze the time difference until you find the right value, over and over again. Like comparing a password. The unknown data

The problem with regulation isn't Uber. It's the extraordinary costs required to operate a taxi - mostly the $200k plate. If I can get a background check and a card certifying me to be allowed to work with children for about $50,

The second image is of IIS running on Windows, not Apache. Different software on different OSes. Regardless, it doesn't seem like parent is making the argument that the NT kernel isn't complicated - just that it is superior.

Happened to my friend about 3 weeks ago and he's a fairy savvy computer user. Had 5k extracted from PayPal which has just been recovered. All my friends have now uninstalled team viewer if they had it installed.

In these threads I see "larger developer base" when referring to javascript developers over python. I wonder if that's true, and by what margin. For what it's worth I would imagine more javascript devs would write plugin

I'm sort of OK with most discussion based questions and answers being shut down. This particular question is well asked, is focused (i7 pipeline de-optimizations), and has a few answers that have very specific information related to th

You don't have to actually post anything. I use Twitter to consume information, not to blast it. Sometimes I'll retweet a project or maybe post an interesting bit of code, but that's unlikely to attract any negative attention

I think it depends who you choose to follow. Twitter can be different things to different people. I've never been a big fan of Twitter myself, but I follow about a dozen programmers and a few sporting brands and I get some value from t

For what it's worth, the warehouse ( https://pypi.io/ ) is the successor to the current PyPI that Donald is currently working on. Is the UI here closer to something you'd like? Edit: It's not Django, my mistake

I was wondering if the joke was a little too dry, but yes it's a joke. Our workplace recently converted to an "agile workspace" and I have sales people sitting across from me regularly on the phone. :(

See hotdesking. An agile work environment lets you avoid this confrontation by picking up and going to sit between two of the sales team.

I'm a very happy Grafana user. The move to a server based app worried me at first, but it's been humming along nicely the entire time. It's a shame that graphite is still so hard to install/configure (at least from rhel

Your idea is mostly right. Instead of a robot waiting in queue though you should receive the call with the information you already entered presented to the agent. Some companies do this.
