Although this doesn't involve machine-learned models, this story highlights the worth of good human judgment, something that currently isn't replicable in machines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislav_Petrov

Agreed. If you assume that the dominant languages have been 'colored in' first and the lesser dominant languages have been laid on top then it works.

I think the graph shows the geographic extent of the languages not which language is primarily spoken in which region.

I always have time for a well reasoned argument even if it contradicts my own view. These arguments are not well argued and they contradict my view. I regret reading that article.

You aren't making anyone do anything. They choose to participate. If they think it's a bum deal, they don't have to do it.

Seems like it needs a 5th question. Perhaps: how long could you have answered positively to these questions?

I think you're right. In the UK I would guess that the average teenager these days starts drinking with some regularity from the age of 15. Incidentally you can only begin driving at 17. I think this ordering works better as most of your ir

One large difference between American and European diets is portion size. One study into why the French don't have an obesity problem like a lot of other western nations had the simple conclusion that they simply ate less.

I think there are various reasons why Lisp has the level of popularity that it does (I won't say it is categorically unpopular). Unfamiliar syntax, real or perceived attitudes of the community, number of primitives, the divergent nature of

OK. I agree that Facebook doesn't play well with anyone else. Not meaning to be contentious but I'm not sure if this can be classed as a failing us. I have to strongly disagree that their implementations of existing functions are half-assed
