Thank you for this. This is ironically more useful to me than 99% of what I read. Without question I will make future jokes about cummingtonite.

Speak for yourself. Personally, I find customization to be a bit paralyzing. There's a happy medium between making everything customizable and giving the user the ability to differentiate a bit. I think Apple has historically done a fi

Other countries are trying to spy on the US’s super advanced “UAPs”. Pet theory of mine.

I've wanted an EV RV for a while now. The dream would be 400 mile range with good enough solar to sufficiently recharge from 2 weeks off grid.

And let's say you reimburse the difference. How far back do you go? There's always going to be some arbitrary line and some people are going to feel unlucky. Such is life.

Are John Deere's products that much better than their competitors? Why would farmers willingly put up with this if alternatives existed?

I agree with this. 5 years seems like plenty until smartphones sufficiently plateau resulting in longer ownership. I believe this is another case of HN's biases versus the 80-90% that the major players actually build for. And ironical

I want to thank all the individuals who spend extra time making thoughtful and balanced comments. These tend not to get as much engagement on site but I promise they ruminate in my mind and help me grow as a person. Thanks.

Not sure how that's a loophole. I'd love to have done as well as him with my IRA. Should he just aim for the mean return?

It’s literal feedback from the board. No reading necessary. The board has push back to basically tell you to chill out.

Yes when there is a legit defect. People getting injured on onewheels are pushing the board to the max, ignoring the warnings and face planting when the board tops out.

I'm a fan of Elon and am optimistic on Twitter's future, but this is not compelling whatsoever. The fact that I pay $8 a month and still see ads is enough to make this a non-starter.

I can’t believe this twitter saga is so one sided on HN. The layoffs have been in the cards for weeks. The individuals working through the weekend are doing it because they want to keep their jobs/ are excited about the future of the c
