This is such a great idea. Excellent design, too. I second the requests for dark mode or at least following the user’s prefers-color-scheme setting. Do you have ambitions to monetize this, or go the open source route? Where do you go from h

If the version bits were up front, then switching to a hypothetical UUIDv8 in several years would be guaranteed to break the sortability. So I see that decision as a bit of future proofing.

How long will it be before the “milliseconds since epoch” part of the uuid overflows or repeats?

Super cool! I would add a checkbox to toggle whether you want background removal, or make that an optional second step. In about half the cases I tried, the background was an important part of my image and without it only weird artifacts re

Either on a standardized set of hardware or relative to other models. Performance benchmarks exist for all sorts of compute intensive things, so surely there’s at least one for LLMs?

How does the speed of this model compare to other LLMs? I see lots of accuracy benchmarks, like HellaSwag, but are there performance benchmarks out there as well?

I really like this vision for the system. If they can retrofit in some rails and remove the drivers, it suddenly makes a lot of sense. I hope that’s where this ends up!

The current Vegas loop is a fun little novelty, like a roller coaster, but it’s so bad as a model for transportation. If we’re already digging the tunnels PLEASE just make a subway. The teslas are so awkward, have to be steered in this smal

This is a fascinating language! I am so curious: how does the “anything goes” matcher work? I struggle to imagine how one would implement that ~~ operator.

What is the value in paying monthly for an SEO tool? I have a hard time understanding paying for one at all , but presumably these things don’t change drastically month-to-month, so you get most of your value within that first month. Is th

The climbing one that you linked says something about “the video below” but I don’t actually see a video. Might just be because I’m on my phone but I was curious if that video still exists.

For videos it can’t find metadata for, Jellyfin will either display only the title (if you set the library type to “movies”), or it will extract a random frame from within the video to use as the image (if you set the library type to “home

I’ve personally been using Infuse as my Jellyfin Apple TV client and for the most part it addresses those issues, and more importantly it doesn’t attempt to live transcode video, which may be what’s causing the crashes you’re describing. Th

Although it would be nice for this to be built into the OS, there are lots of apps that fulfill this purpose. I personally use Moom, have heard good things about Magnet, and if you like tiling there’s Yabai.

Openai has documentation and guides in their blog about how to interface with the GPT API. But in this case, you can also look directly at the source code published here. https://platform.openai.com/docs/introduction

While pipes are great in Elixir I think it’s important to look at the total cost to adding any new syntax in the context of the language that is considering them. In the JS ecosystem, idiomatic nested function calls are read from the inside

This strikes me as something better left to libraries. If you want to write in a functional style then Ramda, Lodash, Underscore, and plenty of others have pipe and compose functions. pipe(one, two, three) Easy to read. No new synt
