I’ve got many TypeScript Christmas wishlist items, too, but I have to admit I disagree with a few of these! A new syntax for tuples is overkill. TS is already getting quite syntax heavy and I feel that the current methods for defining tuple

Even the FTC struggles to define spyware. But I think you’re right that a disagreement on the definition is at the heart of all of this. I wouldn’t be so overconfident in asserting that spyware is defined in your particular way here, though

I personally use ML stuff in a productive context almost every day. Topaz labs software for denoising and upscaling images, Star Xterminator and Starnet for astrophotography edits. Don’t know if this counts as productive but the tools I use

Not my field of work either but my understanding is that Unity, as a public company, should have no trouble competing with Unreal where cost is the limiting factor. They’ve got plenty of resources. Godot on the other hand has a totally diff

Plenty of libraries have functional components and a react-like experience without the need for a virtual dom. Lack of vdom does not necessitate imperative dom usage.

Yes! The front-end code for Lichess is what got me to learn Mithril years ago. Really clean code for such a complex application. Here’s a great example: https://github.com/lichess-org/lichobile/blob/master

If your projects are small enough that relying on the cascade is a reliable option, you probably don’t need tailwindcss. If you’re working with 50+ devs on the same code base with many moving parts and shared components, you can’t afford to

I was about to make something just like your light bulb system for my own home (minus the vacuum part anyway). Any chance that code is open source? Very interested in any other details you’d be willing to share.

The type guard may be useful when transferring that array server->client or vice versa, or for an array from any other untrusted source, but I don’t think that was the purpose of the demo in the article. When the array in question is com

Hopefully the bank stores a separate hash for each mask, generated at the time of password creation. Otherwise, it’s hard for me to imagine how this would be possible without saving the password in clear text.
