Just hit the profile page URL and get the HTTP staus code. If https://twitter.com/ksdhbfslbflsdbs returns 404, it's not available. Not quit the same (a username might be reserved internally), but either way, nobody else can use the name.

Looks like there's some bugs here. Just claimed 'esi' was available on Twitter and GitHub, but it's not.

Wow, that was fast. I love that you're literally rolling out new features while I refresh this thread. Kudos!

Should look up the domain name too. And what's the point in showing the ones that are taken?

One purpose is to allow less design inclined developers to rapidly produce a decent looking prototype that people can play around with.

Sounds like a classy joint, where the owner incites their clientele to violence: "And ass kickings will be encouraged for violators."

Don't you have to say 'OK glass, take a picture'? Seems a lot more obvious than using your phone, unless you can also tap the side of the case to take a pic. I could be casually checking my phone, and people on the other end wouldn't know I

It's perfectly valid to ask a question, even if you know the other side can't answer it. That doesn't mean we should give the engineers who come to this time a hard time about not answering it. It's just a legitimate thing to ask out loud.

I actually played from London the other day and I think the server was hosted on the West Coast in the US and it was a completely lag free experience.

I used Minefold the other day and their trial experience was excellent. Even if you're just playing single player, having a server for a complicated mod pack like FTB is perfect, because you're offloading a lot of the world generation and v

FYI, there's 2 parts to the GameSpy brand. IGN sold the technology group, behind in-game online middleware used by over 1,000 games (including BF 1942 e.g.) to GLU Mobile last year: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20120802006354/en/G

The point isn't if it's worth it to the developer to charge you that much. It's an automated billing process. The point is that the price point is low enough that people won't think twice about paying it. In this case, more than 5 times as
