Simple rule of thumb: never catch yourself typing the word "undefined" in a JS/TS codebase. Easy.

Thanks, feel free to email me if you can dig up anything or ever want to spitball ideas. Email address is in my profile. I've poked around lightly and didn't see anything vis a vis holographs, but I'm going to do a second pas

I think cetaceans use sound to broadcast visual and emotional holographs to each other, and as humans we could do good by being stewards of the differing specie and steer their linguistics together somehow. Conservation through cognitive ne

They are regurgitrons that will eventually begin training themselves on their own output, and humanity will get stupider as a result. RIP art and poetry.

IIRC the use of Web Mercator is primarily for ease of generating 256×256 tiles. The ideal projection is simply 3D, as it accounts for all scales, and the geoid if so inclined.

Complexity theory comes to mind. Self-similar encapsulates that combine to create emergent behaviors.

Have you read Out of The Tar Pit? Builds on what you're saying. There is a reason we turn it off and on again to fix issue: shared mutable state. Codd's relational model. Opinionated but best way? Postgres.

Out of the Tar Pit. Fight over. One punch KO. Every engineer, soft or hard, should read it or just jump into the gutter of /dev/null.

Very interesting, thank you. Feels like an inverse effect of where multilingual people fall back to their first language for counting things. Just thinking out loud here, but I wonder if there's some similarly inverted connection to th

Here's a fun one for you. Recall a certain sleep-deprived fiddler in Blood Meridian saying the following: "Whatever exists in creation without my knowledge exists without my consent" Then read Déclaration d'intention de

I can't recall a single time in JS/TS, C# or even Java where I went "phew, glad i made that private!". In TS, i default to protected for internal implementation details. Why would one hinder future extenders by default?

OP here's a couple examples of large scale static analysis diagrams. [1] is a TypeScript database with ~250K LoC. A fairly advanced product that would benefit from what you're building. The colors represent different architectural

I think GraphQL goes away in 5-10 years and we can place it next to the whole NoSQL craze and just move on, but that's me. I've never seen it be anything but accidental complexity, but would love any concrete examples of where it&

Mixing sync and async conditinually at runtime means non-determinism and Zalgo is very real. There is no such thing as returning "sync object" vs an "async object" unless you mean you wish to check every single value in

Imperative, DOM bound. Try writing a library of reusable components or a large-scale app in jq. Or dont. UI should be declarative and cross-platform.
