Great article. But it only sheds light on the performance and scale aspect. Having used nosql in my last project, I found some other aspects: - Flexibility - Replication - License agreements Nosql allows easy and painless schema

Subdomains are ok seo wise. However Google Webmaster allows some operations only for top level domains. The change domain feature comes specifically to my mind.

This is only a subset of Google APIs. I am looking for the maps API. I hope they add more APIs later. It seems to be a great way to monitor and control API usage.

I tested it with my GV US number and it is working very well. Great job. Too bad it doesn't work on iPad because of the flash applet. (Java wouldn'd help either) But that's nothing you can do something about.

I always use semicolons, because I also code in several other languages, that require them. But I have no problem, if someone leaves them out. This is how JavaScript was designed.

This is a really good example of not reinventing the wheel. Instead built-in functions of the wonderful CouchDB are used - indeed brilliant.

Oh no, 1. A cdn is a network with several cloud fronts 2. A cdn is optimized for static content 3. A cdn uses geographical routing This solution does nothing of this and probably worthens the response time. It offloads some traff

First, the response time variation is an important observation, thanks for that. To make sure, that it is caused by V8's CG, we need a GC log from the benchmark. Second to make this a fair comparison, you need to use a similar sized heap. I

Node.js is the most promising new web application server. The key features are: * It's designed around an event loop and non-blocking IO * It executes server-side JavaScript on Google's V8 engine * It's fast and high troughput * N

Oh no, that's the wrong site. That one is about their earlier solution they bought from Reasonably Smart. The new Node.js solution lives under http://no.de The correct repo is shown after you have provisioned your machine.

Great idea with much potential. Have you solved the problem how to sandbox/protect against apps that have gone wild? Are you allowing or planning to clone using git protocol instead of http? Do you support or have planned custom domains?

AFAIK for JavaScript there is no systematic protection like for CSRF (CSRF token), but the use of a templating engine reduces the risk. You can also order a scanning service like http://www.godaddy.com/security/website-security.aspx

Since that "I Like" button campaign, Facebook's target is clear: Google. The mobile sector is not yet fully taken. So it seems logical to hit in that direction, if you have the power and user base like Facebook has.
