I am basing my startup with MongoDB and Memcached as my storage choices, rather than MySQL, for performance reasons. I can fit nginx, 2 instances of my tornado application, a small memcached slice, and mongodb on a single 256MB memory cloud

Tornado and mongodb... primarily beause I'm using them to develop my side project. Also have interests in Cassandra and seeing what happens with it in the future.

Well, I read the entire article, and it's quite interesting that there are things like Keyczar and cryptlib out there, I still think it's a poor example. Other than a brief note on encryption does not equal authentication, they never touche
