Taxes arent that bad, it’s only considered a capital gain when you sell or exchange. So not really any worse than crypto generally although potentially annoying if you don’t keep it in mind. As for the legality, I don’t think there’s much r

Yeah I’d rather hold assets for anything I don’t have a possibility of immediately needing. Even with more volatile assets like stocks, generally I can expect that it will be worth more at some point in the not too distant future than today

You can make 8% or so with USDC on a platform like Nexo, that’s what I do now. There’s more risk because it’s not FDIC insured but the rates are too attractive for me not to take advantage of it.

Maybe I’m paranoid but I wonder if the whole reason these articles are even coming out now is to help drive price down sharply enough to crush leveraged longs before the bull run resumes

Depends on the job and the industry I guess. I’ve normally had to do 50-60 hours on a salary unless I’ve ran out of upward mobility at a company & just want to coast for a few months until I find something else

I would assume it’s partly because software devs tend to work longer hours and do less stuff socially outside of work than average. As an adult I’ve only dated people long term I either met through work or online games.

I have never needed to reboot because of permissions, basically just had to click “allow” a few times, so this stuff doesn’t really bother me. It’s a very slight inconvenience. Big Sur performance on older hardware has been a disaster thoug

Was about to say the same. That is exactly how Windows 8 was made. Really wish we had gotten more of a continuation of the design of Win 7 instead of everything else that’s happened since.

There are many things that may just not get done at all though if they can’t be automated, or if automating them would be too costly. Stocking shelves in particular is probably one of those things. It’s hard to argue the labor is worth $26

And what can’t be outsourced will be automated whenever it’s cost effective, and our capacity both to outsource and to automate is far greater than it was even just a couple decades ago.

Up to a point this would work but there is a point where stocking shelves at all is no longer worth it when the labor reaches a certain price, and they would probably just start tossing pallets of goods directly onto the sales floor and onl

We’ve also completely failed to provide adequate opportunities for these workers to gain the skills and education to be able to do something more valuable with their time. That’s a problem the minimum wage can’t solve. There’s a threshold w

It’s absurd to assume that the opposite of this fallacy is true indefinitely though. There is a point where someone is simply not worth employing to do anything at all. There is a finite number of valuable things that can be done with littl

This might be the case but many jobs I feel like would no longer be worth paying anyone to do at that rate. That would suggest to me that the productivity of minimum/low wage workers has not increased at the same rate as productivity g

As far as UI in .NET in general goes they seem to be throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks, and no one project seems to have a lot of resources dedicated to it. I imagine this is because it’s simply not a priority for the .NET team.
