Do you mean "on the server?" I don't -- and just the opposite here; the cost of keeping literally all of them is close enough to zero, I never delete any emails and use "read/unread." I just archive yearly.

OP's way of thinking is correct and better than all of the self-centered and callous replies I've seen here - y'all are the REASON we have to do things like, e.g. onerous ADA compliance measures and similar fights for user ri

It sounds like a dumb kind of centralization; yes, you can download all your old stuff, in the hopes that someone else will host it for you eventually. The smarter thing is the thing we already have with email (and that Mastodon can do) --

I'm sorry, did you just defend some big money company purely on the basis of the money they can project in one year? Did you miss when I said "bubble?" Sigh, y'all are not serious.

Seems this gives us a clear bifurcation of what AI is about to do. Open-Source style small players will actually solve problems with AI. And the big money invested things are going to do stupid pointless bubbly things at best, or enshitti

Yeah, the goals of atproto are REALLY GOOD ones. The only thing I'm skeptical of is the extent to which "centralized state of the world" really needs to be a core of the protocol -- and does that sort of thing introduce the

No. That is emphatically NOT entitled -- if the Traefik people have made heavy use of "open source," either practically or in marketing. If you tout "open source" ideas in the work you do, then you can reasonably be held
