Those are definitely two separate problems : On one hand, there is a peering problems between some French ISP and Google and they don't agree on who should pay for the interconnection costs. On the other hand, some French newspapers are com

One problem I see is that it helps creates more way to do basic things like declaring a class or a function. (There are already a number of different utility libraries for OO in JS). Now imagine if every JS codebase use a slightly different

I've been using sympy to automate some derivative computation and I loved it. I found the evalf[1] function to be really helpful as it helps bridge the gap between the symbolic and numeric world. [1] http://docs.sympy.org/dev/modules/evalf

The problem in this case is not floating point approximations. It is that some functionalities (parseFloat vs parseInt, ++, 45.0 being printed 45 in most browsers) makes the user believe that JS has an integer type.

It's not really about static typing or not, it's really about JS having some really strange and counter-intuitive behaviours in a lot of cases (numbers, default method scope, truthy values, ...). Part of it is probably due to the fact that

I'm not sure about that. It seems that the flaw used (described in other comments here) just required to do a GET request on the video stream, not stream it fully. So whether or not fake impressions took place depends on how and when ad imp

This is an interesting idea and I think it's interesting to have it somewhere in mind while programming. A few thought though : - If you really push this to the extreme, you'll end up with all the logic hidden in the classes inheritance hie

From my experience (I'm from non-en), a lot of non-en programmers can understand technical English decently well, but they cannot write it (or at least not enough to express complicated ideas). So they code with comments/issues in their loc
