The war on the word "meritocracy" is just weird. You can just watch it bubble up through twitter to large blogs, to wired. The weird thing about it is the people who hate the word are arguing not against the actual usage -- "

Actually, they should add R-MOTE only if it's true. If everyone puts "r-mote" or "no r-mote" then ctrl-f "r-mote" is useless. Edited to not exacerbate the problem

Just want to point out that you can use external JS libs in Titanium. I use underscore.js and several others. For simple apps it's a great platform -- you'll hit one or two weird gotchas, but still knock out the app quickly. When I attemp

I used YAGBE (Yet Another Google Bookmarks Extension) and it was really nice until it pulled this trick. No additional permissions were asked for IIRC, so it probably asked for what it needed at first.

It has its rough edges, but I have to say that scrolling down the Timeline is a more personal and emotional experience than can be found anywhere else.

Here's a userscript that makes HN show all subdomains. If you're in Chrome, just click on "Raw"to install. https://gist.github.com/1522657

Who says there was a conversion? It's possible to grow up as both. I know a few CS guys who were national level swimmers, and one who was international caliber and only went CS after completing a masters in EE.

I do this too. How do you manage switching between open buffers, or closing one without closing the others? I don't have a good solution for the first, and for the latter I find I have to close nerdtree for :bw to work as expected.

AdMob sucks. IMO they do this on purpose to discourage small publishers. I've also heard, from a reliable source, that they also send you worse traffic until your account is more "established", and if your early CTR sucks, you may never g
