You can blame Google for that, how on earth is that Pinterest's fault? Google is the one choosing an arbitrary thumbnail out of hundreds of images to represent "pinterest.com/cake-pops". Then Google uses that thumbnail t

Who says they haven't? As to why they haven't totally blocked Pinterest, that would be pretty controversial given Pinterest paints inside the lines. edit: oh, I see the confusion. People misunderstand what Google image search is,

This happens because Pinterest is better at categorizing images than Google is. Google should just buy Pinterest and integrate them directly into their image search. Or partner with them so this doesn't happen. Or they could do what Bi

A serology test is just proof of prior infection. It says nothing about the severity and would even count asymptomatic cases. So the study is comparing apples and oranges.

It’s really easy to discard that study. Someone who thinks they had COVID-19 and didn’t even bother getting tested is likely to have had a more severe case. Maybe it wasn’t even a case of COVID-19 but a severe viral infection nonetheless. M

It’s not the same. Black Americans are still fighting for their right to not get shot at by police. White America is seething that Trump had his election “stolen” from him and is scheming to put him back in power in 2024.

Yeah, low power draw is kind of the M1 Max’s thing. My desktop PC crushes the M1 Max when doing workstation type tasks. But for content consumption and even light workloads it’s very efficient.

I’m a landlord too and this sounds suspiciously like an excuse for bad behavior. You can make a big difference in peoples lives by not being a greedy a*hole. Delaying rent increases for a few years can have huge positive impacts on individu

Great point about Qanon and facts not being necessary. The fact we keep having the same argument on HN about masks is proof that it doesn’t really matter what Fauci did back then. It’s just weak justification for current bad behavior.
