Irrelevant and misapplied. This tape was from an era where foundational ideas in personal and graphical computing were being hashed out. Concepts like pointers, modality, bitmapping, state representation, humane I/O, task management, and ba

In fairness to HP, the Touchsmart line is terrible. Bad build quality, BSOD's on first boot, awkward design decisions, atrocious touch experience, and literally forty preinstalled and thoroughly rotten "touch" apps that join forces with doz

Watching this dog and pony show today, I think it's the first time Amazon has been able to speak to gearheads and grannies in the same breath. They threw out any number of cool-sounding acronyms, made a point of filling in some gaping holes

I'm impressed with all of these. Amazon now has tablet pricing that smoothly ranges from $69 -> $499, an outstanding value on 4G service, a quality e-mail client story that includes ActiveSync, necessary touches like parental controls,

That's a developer discussion. Mentioning Android in a customer-facing presentation turns Kindle Fire into an "Android tablet" which telegraphs the message that it is techie crap they won't enjoy.

There exists a treasure trove of truly feculent Apple marketing for you to peruse if you ever have the inclination. But here's a downvote if you're in a rush.

I've been thinking this extra-large format would be huge in some niches like design shops: a big slab of touchscreen you could pass around and run full on Pixelmator-type software on. And then you find out it's a PC with a mechanical HDD an
